Note: FHS will provide official transcripts for the Common Application and SENDedu.

A membership association of nearly 550 colleges, The Common Application provides a “common, standardized first-year application form for use at any member institution” for undergraduate admission.

logo the common app“The Common Application is a not-for-profit membership organization that, since its founding over 35 years ago, has been committed to providing reliable services that promote equity, access, and integrity in the college application process. We serve students, member institutions, and secondary schools by providing applications that students and school officials may submit to any of our over 500 members. Membership is open to colleges and universities that promote access by evaluating students using a holistic selection process.”
The Common Application Mission Statement

Although Common Application member institutions use the same form, each individual college will have different admission requirements and most will require a separate supplement. Supplements may also be submitted online through the Common Application. All member institutions recognize The Common Application as equal to their institutional application if they have one. Students should not be hesitant to utilize The Common Application as a way to streamline the application process.
